I would volunteer to try these, just as long as they're not at highway speeds

I've got to wonder were these 300,000 miles all on public roads, or on a closed road. if these 300,000 miles were on open public roads were they in heavily congested traffic, or in sparse traffic? In any case 300,000 crash-free miles is fairly impressive; I await refinement of this technology, and look forward to seeing this technology in the auto showroom of the future.

They should post a map of where the car has driven & continue to do so with GS tracking. Would be interesting to see where it has been and will go. Any metropolitan areas?

Houston is full of driverless cars. Oh somebody's sitting behind the wheel, but with one or more cell phones going, food being consumed, and laptops being checked, they can't actually be called "drivers".

simple economics 1001 = more people out of work, more people dependent on welfare = more government funds doled out to the many people unemployed

People need to realize that the goal to to eliminate truck drivers. That puts a lot more people out of work. I like New Jersey's approach. In NJ they decided many years ago that it is better to have less educated people working than on welfare. NJ passed a law making it illegal for anyone to pump their own gasoline, so the job of gas station attendant never went away, as it did almost everywhere else. It is also interesting that in NJ gasoline is cheaper than in any of the surrounding states. Getting rid of truck driver, cab drivers, etc will not lower our costs any more than getting rid of gas station attendants has lowered the cost of gasoline, it will just increase unemployment. WAKE UP FOLKS!
