No need to rush back when you can just increase gas prices.

What seems strange to me is the workers were back & ready to work right away but the officials would not let them work. This was in the news a week ago.

Another poor excuse for stations in my area to raise prices 30 cents within a blink of the eye!

Isaac's disruption is nothing compared to the Chevron refinery fire disruption.

if it was me , I would freeze prices for at least 3 years at 3$ a gallon. seems fair , as oil companies report record profits every quarter.

Wow! Isn't it amazing - the Prez apparently caused several Refinery weather shutdowns, plant closures in the UK. etc, all just to screw KathSip, truck192 et. al. - and just in time for the election. Sure....

KEEP YOUR TANKS FULL! We will NOT see the usual size of price decrease we normally see. There have numerous gasoline refinery problems thoughout the country, since the beginning of summer. Supply/demand condition have been pressed. Also, the Obama dollar will continue to be under pressure, which will tend to increase oil prices.

The amount of time from well to gas pump has to be weeks or even months. The immediate price jump can only be because of the greed of the monopolistic oil industry!

The last time I purchased gasoline was on 08-09-12. It cost $3.079 per gallon and today it is going for $3.559 per gallon at the same station.
We are NOT anywhere near Hurricane Alley.

As my 5th grade teacher said, you got all those excuses but no reason. These are the same folks who tried to shut down 3 east coast refineries because apparently their multi-billion profits aren't multi-billion enough.

Until you live through a hurricane or as some say strong rain please dont talk. I live in south Lousiana and this was more than rain. One daughter lives in mobile and got 70+ MPH winds and many many inches of rain.
You close down just in case since not sure what will happen. If someone would have stayed open and had people die then you would have said, they should have closed but GREED keep them open.
With this said, do beleive that oil companies keep oil high to make money and it is about making money or greed.
BUT STOP judging until you live though one. Was on the MS coast for Katrina and back in Lake Charles, LA for Rita. It was the worst thing in my 50+ years in life for both of them..

Of course, production is down, as it is after any big storm in oil producing and refining states.

The filfthy slimeballs at Speedway/Marathon just jacked up prices here to 4.09/gal..a .26/gal increase, for what reason but their greed, and to stick it to the public and there's no collusion? Come on Schutte (Mi AG) get your head out of the clouds.
