That commercial made me want to go hang some sheet rock in my garage, work on my engine and drive down to the hardware store to check out their selection of ratchets and band saws. It's halftime, America, now take some tussin, bear down and don't disappoint Clint Frickin' Eastwood.

I agree BuckyTJones. But glad they brought it to everyone's attention that Clint Eastwood is not giving an Obama plug.

All the different takes on this commercial.
I took it as a way to rally the troops.
America is struggling and is in the middle of a real tough game. But don't count us out, we are a second half team.
That's my take on it. I also think we could use some up lifting talk some times.

Why not, the overwhelming majority of the entertainment world supports the Democratic Party. I do belive that this is a pay back by Chrysler to the Obama administration for all those taxpayer bail out money they received.

"Clint, when are we getting our money back from Chrysler?"
Apparently you missed this article from nine months ago:
May 22, 2011
Chrysler is going to repay about $7.5 billion in U.S. and Canadian government loans this Tuesday. With the repayment of those loans, Chrysler's image is starting to shine again."

agree with mattymattmatt Actors and actresses that try and make these bold statements come off as being shills. In Iaccoca's day HE would have been the spokesman for the company that he ran. He'll take the heat and he'll take the credit. Those were the days of Truman when the buck stopped at the leader's desk instead of today when the skill of a "leader" being able to pawn responsibility and blame off on someone else is considered messianic.

Cumon non union red state voters do not want companies like Chrysler to succeed, they much prefer non union Japanese companies located inside their borders. Get over it, Detroit is back even on the playing field.

Read into it or not, if the ad spurs discussion, it's getting PR for a company that desires it. Game won for them.

One of the best ads I've seen in a very long time. It was uplifting to the American spirit and instilled pride and hope for our country's future. The parts about Chrysler were almost anticlimatic. Classy advertising. I'll remember this one for a long time.
Here is the link for those of you who didn't see it.

I get very disappointed when actors and actresses make these kinds of political statements. Why get involved with something that is so polarizing when your entire profession relies on people liking you and what you do. Whether or not this was a political message, it certainly came off as one and I do not appreciate nor did I like it. This is happening more and more often with actors that I once liked, but through one form or another expressed political views that I disagree with (and then go on to verbally insult those who disagree with them).
